Like a shooting star in a galaxy

Katie and Lara both got woke up by the ringing alarm that woke them up every morning at 7 am sharp. They hated it but its what they had to do. Katie was out first and put the kettle on, getting two mugs out of the cupboard.
Lara was the worst for mornings she walked out her room, dragging her feet.
"You look like shit" Katie mutters.
"Feel like it.." She callapses on the sofa.
A message then appears on a board at the front of them, they both walked up to it.
"Oh great, early briefing, that should make you feel better Lara" Katie smiles.
"Shut up and make us that tea, weve havnt got long" She sits back down.

Soon enough both of them were ready, they got there books and walked out of the door, locking it behind them. THey walked down the silver waled corriders, side by side and walked into the breifing room. The room was full of both men and women in black velvet suits in front of a big projecter screen. The boss was sat on the left of the table and sat next to him sat The Doctor.
"Oh god sake" Katie muttered taking a seat next to Lara.
"Katie, shut up and just listen if your not gunna listen just..sit there" Lara says folding her arms on the desk.

The breifing went suprisingly ok, bit boring to start with, new projects to work on, same old same old.
Lara had noticed Katie and The Doctor exchanging stares all throuhout. Just vague stares.

Everyone stands up from there desks and walks out the door. Katie tries to get out the room first and pushes everyone out the way. Lara follows her.
"Whats your problem!" Lara shouts sitting at her work desk, Katie next to her.
"Nothing"
"Obvously there is!"
"Oh shut up, anyway heres the report from yesterday" Katie passes onto Lara's desk.
There was then a knock on their office door.

Captain Jack and The Doctor walked in and stood in front of the door.
"Whats going on" Jack says.
"Nothing" Katie mutters.
"I heard shouting..did you Doctor?" Jack raises an eyebrow.
The Doctor just stands there trying not to make eye contact with Katie, he didnt want another slap again..
"Anyway, theres a staff do at the pub down the road tonight fancy coming?" Jack asks.
"Whos gunna be there" Lara asks.
"Not many to be honist, a few from offices down the next corrider, me of course and The Doctor's considerin it"
"Erm, ye ill come along" Lara nods.
"You coming Katie?" Jack asks.
"Are you kidding?" Katie stares at him, Lara looks at her.
"Oh, erm I dont fancy it.."
"Aww come on Kate, since when did you turn down the pub" Jack laughs.
She ignores him.
"Well, ill see you there then" He smiles at Lara, she smiles back, The Doctor and jack then both walk out.

Lara and Katie didnt talk to eachother much that day, Katie was pissed off, but Lara, she was excited. Captain Jack, there boss, that she fancied for ages has just invited her out for a drink! SHe squeeled, not knowing she did it out loud. KAtie looked over at her and looked back.
Well..it wasnt a one to one drink but she could always wish..

The bell went for the end of the working day and Lara turned to Katie who was still writing notes.
Kate looked up "What"
"Come tonight Kate, it will be a laugh" Lara says.
"I dont wanna go, so I can sit there watchin two pairs of eyes wondering"
"Whos!"
"Yours at Jack's croutch and The Doctors at my boobs" She laughs slightly.
"Kate, come on, hes just a normal bloke.."
"With two hearts"
"Yes with two hearts"
"I wonder if hes got two.."
"Kate!" Lara laughs "I think you secretly like him" She smirks.
"I most certainly do not!" She laughs.
"Whatever, come on lets go get changed, your coming out whever you like it or not"

So they both walk out the office and make their way to their rooms. Katie stood there, looking in the mirror, why was she attempting to make herself look good? She wasnt going to impress anyone, well, she could always try. Besides she hadnt been on the pull in a while.

They both walked out their rooms and looked at eachother.
"We off then?" Katie asks.
"Why you so keen to get out" Lara says.
"Because I havnt had a good shag in ages so come on" Katie says pulling her out.

They finally arrive at the pub and walk in. Suprisingly it was empty.
All there was, was an old man sat in the corner, two lezbians that were always there at the front probably chatting up the bar maid, a few local lads near the pool table (brendan lmao) and Jack and The Doctor sat in the corner table.
"So much for your 'shag' tonight, althought theres always.." Katie covers Lara's mouth.
"Dont, even say it" She removes her hand and walks towards the men, Lara sits next to her.
"Evening ladies" Jack smiles.
"Should I get drinks in then" Katie stands up
"Two pints?" She asks Jack.
Jack looks at The Doctor "No im fine thanks.."
"Oh come on! You cant sit in a pub and not drink, so your having a pint" She walks up to the bar and orders the drinks.

Jack noticies Jess struggling in the corner.
"Go give her a hand Doctor" Jack says.
"Oh she'll be alright" The Doctor says.
"Go and help!" Lara says.
He sighs and stands up walking towards her.

"Look like youre struggling" He says with his hands in his pockets.
"Im fine" She lifts the tray up
"Just let me help you"

"There is defintly something going on there" Jack smirks.
"Sure is boss" Lara smiles.
"Lara, were not in work now, you can call me Jack" He says.
"Ok...Jack" She smiles, then suddenly.
"AHHH!!" Jack and Lara insintly looked over at a sight..they wasnt expecting.

Katie was layed on the floor with The Doctor on top covered in drinks.
