The recruiting process

I cant remember excatly how i got into this but i knew it would pay off. Since the whole cyberman, dalek doomsday thing, i found out that this could be the job for me. Travelling around, doing missions, arresting monsters, fighting and the one thing that i wanted. To meet the timelord himself. The Doctor.

Before i joined i heard stories about him, how he travelled in a blue box and how he sometimes travelled alone. He was smarter then any being in the universe, he knew everything and anything. But he was the last of his speices. Unique in everyway.

"Private! Stop day dreaming"
A hand clashed on my desk
I was day dreaming again, about the same thing. I looked up and saw the Captain stood there looking at me.
"Are you taking in what im saying Private Summers?"
I sat up
"yes sir!"I said
"Tell me then, how do you avoid a paradox when on Planet Ostent 5, in the middle of nowhere and only a webfling to help yourself out?"

Argh i didnt know, i wasnt listening. I only preferred the practical side to the job.
"Im not sure sir"
"So you weren't listening then Private?'
I looked around the class. Everyone dressed the same. In black, stretcy fabic. Almost like a space suit but it fitted the body better. I saw one of the pupils riasing their hand and squirming about like some..
"Private! After class, in my office!"
I sighed, god i hated being in a room with him. He was too strict with us. All the other classes had easy teachers. But this one was plain mean.

The school is run by one extrodinary man. He's been a time agent for over 50 years now and doesnt look a day old. Hes the nicest guy you could ever meet. His name was Captain Jack Harkness. He was absoulty Gorgeous.

The bell rang.
"Ok class, dismissed"The Captain said
And with that, everyone grabbed their books, and pressed their watches and within a second they all disappeared.
"Lara, if you would like to follow me.."The captain planned the co-ordinates into his watch
"Co's 9:12"He said to me
I pushed them into my watch and teleported into his office.
I sat down in his chair by his desk and he sat in his hover chair.
"I have noticed you've been daydreaming recently. It will start putting you off your work soon Private, its not healthy."

The door suddenly opened.
"This is Captain Edness"And amercian accent said
The Captain stood up and so did i to the attention of Jack Harkness.
I began to feel nervous, i didnt know where to look.
Jack walked in with someone behind him, the legend..The Doctor.
The Doctor walked in behind Jack with his hand deeply in his brown pockets and had his specs on. This was gonna be tense. They were both gorgeous to me and i never thought i would be in a room with them both.
Me and Edness stood to attention
"At ease"Jack said with his casual dress on. Blue shirt, brown trousers with straps leading upwards from them to his strong shoulders.
"Afternooon Captain and Doctor"Edness said
"Afternoon, and afternoon..."The Doctor said trying to find my name on my uniform
"Private Lara Summers"I smiled
"Nice name, happy name infact. Not as scary as mine"He said walking around the room.
"This is our best attacker in the school"Jack said walking around with the Doctor"
"Yes sir, but not most smartest"Edness said
"Whats been going on?"Jack asked
"Summers isnt up to scratch on her paperwork, shes been daydreaming lately"
Jack turned to me
"Well shes been brilliant at my practicals"
I screamed in my head 'Because your fit!!!!' And started smiling
"Well maybe Sir, but she needs to know how to get out of a paradox and so forth"Edness said
"Maybe fit in extra practicals and move her onto my class for a bit Edness, maybe she just needs to be in the right class"
"Sir?"Edness questioned
"Not saying your classes arent good, maybe she needs to be in a less, stricter class"
"Yes sir"Edness said "Dismissed private"
"How about taking her to the tardis Jack?"The doctor said putting away his specs
"Hmm, are you sure about that?"
"I can teach her about the tardis, and that will definatly up her grades"He said smiling at me
"Well just becareful, you dont want other pupils to find out and start asking to go into the Tardis, thats a rare opportuinty."Jack said turning to the doctor
"Well its only Lara, she looks bright enough to help me fix a few things, here and there"
"Ok then Summers, i will be sending your new rota to your watch soon. Do not inform any other pupils about this conversation understood?"Jack said
"yes sir!"I said
"See you later Lara"The doctor winked
I watched them walk out the room and then i teleported back to my room.

I layed on my bed that night and couldnt stop smiling. I was the first ever time agentee to go into the Tardis! But i couldnt tell anyone, how shit
