Jack walks off into his office
He chucks his jacket down and video phones the equnox Captain of Time Agents
It rings and rings...
Eventually he picks up
"This better be important Captain Harkness"
"Oh i can guarentee that. One of my pupils is due to your department this time next week sir, and i demand you deport another agent"Jack said
"Captain Harkness...this is unexpected"
"I think this pupil Private summers, due to be Captain Summers, should stay here with my team"
"Captain,this is late notice and Summers is the only cadet to be imported here, this month"
Jack held back tears
"Sir, i wish to appeal against this decision"
"Captain, this decision is final, the appeal date was 2 months ago. Summers will be a qualified cadet and be deport a.s.a.p"
"Sir..-
"Captain the decision is final"
"Captain i must appeal now"
"Harkness....Jack, you know only appeals can be made if the cadet is not qualified to your level and is a lower rank then you and fully qualified. Summers will be on your level next week, you know the rule, 2 Agents cannot be in a team at one time unless needs be. The team needs to be consistied of-"
"-I know, sir, please. We do need Summers"
"For what reason! You are not at war!"
"Sir, you know that we have a high level of alien activity. We even drawn in Torchwood. Another time agent would be helpful"
"Captain..you arent doing this for personal reason are you"
"No! Sir we need another time agent"
His eyes started to fill up. He was going to appeal for this even if it meant deporting one of his own team
The Captain of Equnox thought for two minutes
"My decision will be made on the day of graduation, til then Jack, good eve"
He then hung up
Jack then broke down, he sat in his chair crying all night
Katie and the Doctor walked in, Lara was still in her room
Kate knocked on her door then walked in
Lara was still crying
"Lara.."
"I really dont want to leave now, i thought i'd done everything to get this far, to be deported and never look back. I dont want to leave him, you or the Doctor"
"I know its hard, somehow we will get you to stay dont worry"
"I thought maybe having my own team wouldnt of been so bad, it would of got rid of all my feelings for Jack"
"Jack did that"The doctor walked in
"He was deported from another galaxy to this one. He had feelings for someone back at his galaxy, but knew nothing would never come of it so he blocked the feelings out and moved"The doctor continued
"I just think i need to be alone"
They both nodded and walked out
Lara couldnt stop cryin that night, all she could picture was graduation day..leaving Jack..
A week passed and the day came..graduation day...
It was early in the morning and Katie was still in bed. Lara had been up all night..
She looked in the mirror.
"This is it..im leaving.." She sighs and wipes her eyes. She then notices Katie at the corner of her eye.
"Im really gunna miss you yano.." Katie says "No matter how much we argued or fighted.."
"Im gunna miss you too, im gunna miss everyone. I just cant believe this is it.." Another tear runs down Lara's face.
"Come on" Katie hugs her as Lara crys on her shoulder "I dont want to go Kate.."
Meanwhile Jack had also been up all night. He sat on the sofa doing up his tie on his suit. He had to dress formal, he had to make a good impression so they would consider letting her stay.
Then there was a knock on the door.
He walked up and opened it, it was The Doctor.
"Hey.." The Doctor says walking in. He looked at Jack.
"I gather they couldnt do anything about her staying.."
"They make the discision today. I love her Doctor, never met anyone like her shes just..words cant explain how wonderful she makes me feel inside" He callapses on the sofa.
"All youve got to do is hope for the best, if you want her back dont show any emotion, they will think its personal so just keep a straight face.." The Doctor says.
They all had planned to meet up outside the graduaton hall at 10am.
"I might run away" Lara says.
"Lara! Dont be so stupid! Come on, just see what happens.."
"Im leaving! Thats the end of it! And I cant do anything about it" She storms out the room.
"Lara!" She chases after her.
