The next day..
Kate wakes up to another day of work, she gets ready and makes her way into her office.
"You got them papers I asked for?" John asks
"Oh shit.." Kate puts her head on the desk
"Kate these needed to be done last week!"
"Ill do them now, dont worry"
John sighs and walks off.
All day Kate couldnt stop thinking about that box, she wanted to find out more, find out more about this man and this box..
The end of the day came and she got her stuff and walked out, she hated her job, she was just guna go to a cafe, get a coffee and go home.

She walked into the cafe and ordered her coffee. She sipped it and then stopped, she looked to the side of her and sighed.
"Hello" He grins.
"Right who are you, you better tell me or im phoning the police"
"The police! No, thats not necesery"
"Well tell me who you are!"
"You know that night in the pub..you intrgiued me"
"What"
"When that..thing jumped on you, you were scared..but you were strong..I like that, courage"
Kate sighs "Leave me alone"
"Come with me" He says standing up.
"What? Where"
"Just come with me.. I want to show you something"
Well she wanted to find out more about him didnt she?


Lara woke up on the sofa with something pushing her
"What??"She muttered
"Lara, what are you doing?"
She looked up at Scott
"What happened?"
"Thought you were on duty last night"
"Erm..."
"You went on the piss didnt you?"
"I dont know"She said sitting up
"Come on otherwise you're gonna be late for work"
So she got up, got dressed and made her way to the station
"Morning Lara"David said "God you look terrible, what happened?"
"I really cant remember"She said holding her head
She then saw a man in a familar coat walk by
She stared at him
"Lara?"David said
"Oh...what?"
"Whats wrong with you?"
"I dont know"
She then followed this guy. He was amercian...She felt she had met him before.
"Can i have log number 523 please"He said at reception
Lara slowly walked up to him
"Thanks"He then turned round to her
"Oh no"He said
Then all of Laras memory of last night returned to her
"You shouldnt be seeing me"He said holding onto her shoulders
"Youre....captain Jack arent you?"
He sighed
"You're from torchwood?"
"Guess the pill didnt work then"He said
"Er...yeah"
"Right follow me"
Lara did as she was told, she wanted to find out more

"I cant believe im going with some stranger somewhere I dont even know where im going" Kate mutters.
"What?" The Doctor pulls a face as he gets a key out.
"Nothing..why are you taking me to a blue box, its just a box" He then opens the door.
Kate gasps.
"Come in..dont be scared" The Doctor stands at the door.
Kate slowly walks in and looks around her.
"This..is this some joke.."
The Doctor smiles and leans onto the control panel "Nope its real, great isnt she.." He grins.
"She?"
"Oh yes" He nods.
"I need a drink" Kate gasps.
"Water?"
"I mean alcoholic"
"Oh I dont..really drink that stuff" He scratches his head.

A while later.
"So how.. is it so big.."
"Time lord science"
"Time lord?"
"Im a time lord, they orginate from the planet Gallifrey"
"So why are you here?"
"My people fort in a war, the time war hundreds of years ago, my people were destroyed..I was the only one left"
"Im sorry.."
"Its fine, now I just travel..on my own"
"So..how old are you?"
"903" He leans back.
"Are you kidding me?"
"903..look good dont I" He smiles.
"Hell yeah.."


Jack took Lara to Torchwood
They stood on a pavement block
"What are we doing?"
"Doing to the hub?"
"Then why are we-"
The block then started to move downwards
Lara grabbed hold of him
"Oh i love it when a lady does that"
He held her back, his hand slowly going down to her bum
"Oi!"She said
"Sorry"
She then wobbled and nearly fell off and grabbed hold of him again
"Keep still"He said laughing
They kept going down and a big pterodycl flew past them
"What the fuck is that?"
"Thats our pet"
They eventually got to the ground and everything was coming back to her. All the machinery, people running round
"Oh not her again"Owen said
"Yeah, my fault sorry"He said getting off of the block "Shes here to stay now"
"What?"Owen said
"What!?"Lara repeated
"You heard"He said throwing his coat over a seat
"But i dont know anything about torchwood"She said following him
"Well shut up and listen cause you're gonna have to listen"He said walking around
"This is obviously owen that you've met"He said
"Hi"Lara said
"Im a doctor"He smiled
"This is tosh, shes our technical expert"
"Nice to meet you"Tosh said shaking Laras hand
"And ianto is our attrative tea boy"Jack smiled
"Thank you sir...nice to meet you"He said to Lara
"And you"
"And now lets go into my office"Jack said walking up stairs
He sat down in his chair and put his feet up
"So what happens now?"
"Well we sit and wait for something to come along"
"I mean...in my job"
"We will be changing your files, you are no longer a police woman, you are apart of torchwood now"
"But-"
He looked over at a Jar by the side of him. There was a hand in it that was lighting up
"Hes here"He said suddenly getting up
"Who is?"
"Come with me"He said running down the stairs throwing his coat on
"Owen, you're in charge"Jack said
"Where are we going?"Lara asked
"To see The Doctor"

"So..what you think then" The Doctor jumps up.
"Its weird..no..very weird" Kate laughs.
"Fancy a..spin" He clicks his tongue.
"Oh no I cant.."
"Oh come on..I can show you anything, take you anywhere"
"Hang on" Kate walks towards the door and looks at the outside. "What did you say it was called again"
"She..is called the tardis"
"Wow.."
"So how about it? One trip?"
"I dont know you.."
"Thats the adventure isnt it.." He gleams.
Kate sighs "Go on then.." She smirks.

"Who's The Doctor" Lara asks.
"You'll find out.." Jack opens the tardis door.
Both Kate and The Doctor look towards the door.
"Jack! What are you doing here!" The Doctor says.
"Your hand.." Jack says.
"I told you to get rid of that Jack" The Doctor messes with some dials on the tardis. "So who have you picked up this time"
"This is Lara, she used to work for Torchwood"
"I didnt!" Lara says.
"She did..anyway have just re-hired her"
"Well nice to meet you Lara, and keep an eye on him..he's very.."
"Sexy" Jack interupts.
"Not the word I was looking for.." He says leaning on the panel
"And whos this" Jack walks over to Kate.
"Kate..leave her alone Jack" The Doctor says.
"Where are you from?"
"Jack leave her alone.."
"What im being friendly!" He laughs.
"Bit too friendly for my liking.." The Doctor sighs.
Jack walks around the tardis "So how you been anyway?"
"Great..ye..just great" He smiles.
"Bored?"
"A little"

Kate and Lara stand next to eachother looking around.
"Hey.." Kate says.
"Hey.." Lara looks around.
"Amazing aint it"
"Ye..just a bit.."
"So you work for torchwood then?"
"Well supposidly I do..theyve changed my job and everything!"
"Ouch..I wouldnt be too pleased"
"He says ive worked for them before but..I havnt"
"You have!" Jack shouts over.
Lara rolls her eyes. "So how long you been with him"
"Oh im not with him! I'm just..hanging around, I dont even know him, 903 he is.."
"No way!"
"I know..and I still wouldnt mind a piece of him"
"Thanks" The Doctor shouts over.
Kate gasps.
"I think we should..shut up now" Lara says.
"Ye..good idea" They both stand there.

"How is Torchwood anyway"
"Oh it's great, been a bit dead lately so just been keeping our eye out on things, but its cool, just get alot more time to relax and s-"
"I think we should stop there" The Doctor interupts.
"What! I was gunna say sail!"
"No you wernt Jack, since when have you been into sailing"
"Ive been doing it alot recently, sailing boats...sail boats, across the sea..that sort of thing.." He trails off.
The Doctor raises an eyebrow "So you wouldnt mind me taking you to go and see some of the most famous sail boats in the universe?"
"No please dont the boredom would kill me" He looks at him.
The Doctor smiles and walks back over to Lara and Kate
"So where we off to then?"The doctor askes leaning on Lara
Lara looks at him
"You have nice eyes"She smiles
"Have you drugged another one Jack?"The doctor looks back at him
"No, not this one"He said walking over
"So where should we go...barbados? Erm...ye olde london? 1800s?"
"What is he on about?"Lara asked Kate
"I dont know he kinda talks like that"
The doctor walked around
"I think we should go see the vikings, theyre a friendly lot arent they?"
"Doctor, we cant go anywhere, the guys back at the hub would kill me if i dissappeared again, especially ianto"
"Oh you two still arent..are you?"
"What do you mean? Hes took a shine to me. Fine lad that he is"
"Im confused"Lara said
The doctor walked over to her
"Hasnt jack told you anything?"
"No"
"Well, hes an ex time agent, hes from the 51st centuary, he cant die and-"

"Yeah"

"Oh, just something stupidly wrong with him, anyway, just be wary he kinda likes everything if you see what i mean"
"I dont like everything"Jack said taking his coat off "Im just...friendly"
"Errrr yeah.."The Doctor walked over to Jack

"Best of both worlds"Kate said

"Just be careful of him"The Doctor said "He works his way in"

"No i dont"

"Now wait a minute"He turned round "I fell over and my hand actually landed there"

"Right get out!"

He sighed
"Right Jack, are you coming, going or what?"
"Im going, you sure you dont wanna come to the hub?"
"No, you know what theyre like"
"They are just interested in you"Jack said putting his coat back on "Come on"
"Ok, only for a few mins. Kate you coming?"
"Um..sure"
"This is a weird day"Lara sighed



So Jack took them all to the hub
"Oh for godsake"Owen said "More of them!"
"Owen be quiet, these are friends of mine"Jack said walking up to his office
"Where did you get all this stuff from?!"The Doctor said putting his glasses on, looking at werid objects
"They came through the rift"Owen said
"Oh oh right, wow i havent seen these in ages!!!!!"The doctor said picking one up
"Um..dont do that"Tosh said
"I know what im doing!"
"Jack you shouldnt have this, this is dangerous"The doctor said walking up to Jacks office
Jack sat down with his feet up
"Tea?"Ianto offered
"Yes please"Jack said
"Lara?"
"Um..no thanks?"
"You sure?"
"Pretty sure, i dont want you drugging me again"
"I dont have to, its already working"
"What is?"She widened her eyes
"My good looks"He smirked
Kate wondered round the hub looking at things (lmao loner)

"Jack do you know what this is?"The doctor said walking in
"Tea sir?"Ianto offered
"Um not now...actually yes...10 sugars..This device here makes you control peoples minds, this needs to be destroyed!"
"Oh does it"Jack said getting up and snatching it off of the doctor
"Yes it does..now lemme have it"
"No, i might wanna play with it"
"Jack.."He stared him out "I know that look" The doctor looked at Lara and then took his glasses off "You sure you wanna work for this guy?"
Lara shrugged
"You are not...i repeat not..using it on her!"The doctor said quietly
"I never said i would"
"Or Kate..."
"Cant i just try it out a bit?"
"No!"
"Aw come on! I know what I'm doing!"
"Jack! No!"
He smirks
"What now" The Doctor puts the thing down.
"Your quite sexy when your angry" He smirks.
"Jack this isnt the time for your silly little..games"
"Ok ok!" Jack sneakily gets the gets the device from behind The Doctor and puts it behind him.
The Doctor walks off to Lara "Youve got your hands full with him.." He walks over to Kate.
"Wow this place is..amazin" Kate says.
"So is the back room, why dont you check it out?" Jack says.
The Doctor sighs and sits down on a swirly chair.
"Heres your tea sir" Ianto passes him his cup of tea.
"Thankyou" He puts it on the side.
"I feel lost.." Kate says "What time is it?" Kate looks up at the clock "It's 3am! Ive got work in the morning!"
"Take the day off" The Doctor says sipping his tea.
"I wish it was that easy.."
"Book a holiday, come travelling"
"Ive got a flat, friends, family, to look after I couldnt possibly.."
"Just a week..see how you like it" He puts his tea down.
Why did she feel she could trust him..
"Fine! Better be worth it though.."
"I'll make it worth it" Jack smirks.
"Right how many sugars did you put in his drink" The Doctor turns around to Ianto
"Only 30"
The Doctor laughs "Good luck Lara"

A while later..
"Right well, we best be off, got to make this trip worth it" The Doctor leaps up.
"Oh doctor you dark horse" Jack laughs.
"Someone please do something with him, its the girl I feel sorry for, see you soon"
"See ya" Kate says.
"Nice meeting you"Lara smiled
Jack puts his arm around her
"Yeah we'll see you soon"He winked


Kate catches up with the doctor
"Who is he excatly?"
"You dont wanna know"
"Hes quite.."
"Yes i know, but just..leave it.."
The doctor stops still
"What?"
"I forgot that device"He said
He runs back into Jacks office and sees Jack with Lara
"Jack weres that device?"
"I dont know"He smiles He then looks at Lara "Do you know?"
"Know what?"She smiles up at him
The doctor sighes
"Jack i told you not to"
"Its fun."
"You dont know everything about it, now let me have it"
"Its on the table over there"He points behind him
The doctor turns round to see the on the table lit up
"You've used it on her, god sake Jack" He turns round to see them both kissing
"Lucky.."Kate mutters
Then Doctor thn turned a switch and Lara was back to normal
She opens her eyes..
"Oh my god!"She walks back
"Yes..it was good"
"What...whats going on?"
"He used that device on you"The doctor said
"I have to test run my new recruits dont i Ianto?"
"Yes sir"
"Right im going, Lara any problems get one of them to ring me"
"Ok"Lara said covering her mouth


The Doctor and Kate walk out to the Tardis
"Why do i bother?"He mutters
"So where we going?"
"No sure, lets have a lucky guess"He said throwing his coat aside
He pulled a lever and the tardis shook violently. Kate fell over
"Fucking hell!"
